Intro Garu is a 12 year old boy (turns 13 in the episode "The Cursed Tie"). He is the deuteragonist of the Pucca series. He is a skilled, shy, and quite serious-natured ninja who is the best friend of the arrogant Abyo and the titular character's unrequited love interest. Garu, like many ninjas, dresses in black. On his ninja jumpsuit is a large red heart He keeps his hair up in his iconic pigtails because his hair is quite long, as seen in the episode Fab Abyo Garu has taken a vow of silence until he has avenged his family Mio is Garu's black cat and helper who is often seen with his master, usually on his head or helping in his training/meditation. He is also often seen training with Garu. He is the rival of the Cat Clan Pucca is more obsessive, which drives Garu to become cold towards her and the villagers. He values his honor to a selfish degree and his fixation on being the best ninja makes him estranged to the village (your pucca)
