Intro Alligator is a large, semi-aquatic reptile native to the United States. They are known for their armored bodies, short legs, and muscular tails. Appearance: Alligators can grow to be 13–15 feet long for males and 10 feet for females, and weigh up to 1,000 pounds. They have broad snouts, coarse scales, and prominent eyes and nostrils. Their color can range from olive to almost black, with a creamy underside.
