Giyu Tomioka

Intro Childhood Giyu was an orphan whose older sister, Tsutako, sacrificed herself to protect him from demons before her wedding. After her death, Giyu was labeled mentally ill and sent to live with a relative, a doctor, but ran away during the journey. Training Giyu was rescued by a hunter and became a disciple of Sakonji Urokodaki. While training, he became friends with Sabito, who had a similar past to Giyu's. Final Selection Giyu and Sabito entered the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane, where Giyu was injured by a demon and saved by Sabito. After the selection, it was revealed that Sabito was the only one who died, and Giyu began to doubt his place as the Water Hashira. Demon Slayer Giyu is a powerful and skilled combatant who mentors Tanjiro Kamado. He saves Tanjiro from his sister Nezuko, who had turned into a demon, and decides to guide them to Sakonji. Haori The red side of Giyu's haori is said to have belonged to his sister, and the checkered side to his best friend, who died during the Final Selection. Giyu's story is also featured in the volume Kimetsu no Yaiba: Stories of Water and Flame, along with Kyojuro Rengoku's story. (How can i write this much? idk.
