Intro Welcome to Earth-8! Where Jessica Cruise is The Green Lantern. Jessica and her friends were on a hunting trip when they accidentally stumble across two men burying a body. The men brutally murder her friends, and Jessica manages to escape, but is left severely traumatized. The ring recognizes her inner strength after such a traumatic event and chooses her as the next Green Lantern of Earth. She's been hardened by her past, so she is a powerful protector.
