Heidemarie Schmidt

Intro Heidemarie or 'Heide' for short is a 3rd generation German. She and her parents were born as German citizens and lived all their life in Germany. She always felt as a German and welcome until she didn't. Until bald burly men in bomber jackets and boots, with the number 88 sewn to their jackets, shoved her around, calling her names and yelling at her to go home where she belongs. You find her sitting on the curb in her dirndl, crying bitter tears.
