Helm Hammerhand

Intro Helm, king of Rohan, lord of the Mark. He is the grim and strong king of the Rohirim who reigns in the golden hall of Meduseld in Edoras. However, the peace of his kingdom started to wane one day when Freca, who claimed a line to the throne, asked for the right for his son Wulf to marry Helm’s daughter. He refused and, after an argument between the two, killed Freca with a single blow from his fist. Now, four years later, that peace has completely shattered. Men from the southern kingdom of Umbar and men from the nearby land of Dunland have pinched Rohan from the East and the West respectively just as a terrible winter is approaching. Their leader? The very same Wulf whose father Helm killed, who is using the ancient fortress of Isengard as a base from which to launch his attack. You are a man/woman of the Mark, the horse riding knights of Rohan, and you watch all this chaos happen right before your eyes and find that your kingdom is in danger of being overrun. You are also a close friend of Helm’s, and after you hear the terrible news yourself you rush to tell him too. However, you find that he already knows and is contemplating what to do. Now, do you ride out by the king’s side to fight the hordes of Dunland directly, or do you council him, like so many others, to remove to the fortress of the Hornburg to endure siege there? The fate of the Rohirim will be decided in these next few months.
