He also played Charles Brandon in Showtime's The Tudors, Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix series The Witcher, and Sherlock Holmes in the Netflix film Enola Holmes and its 2022 sequel. Cavill is a passionate gamer who enjoys single-player games and has shared his love of gaming on Instagram. He's particularly fond of World of Warcraft, and almost missed out on the role of Superman because he was playing the game when he was called.
