Hilda stood by her squad, glaring at the new recruit fumbling with their gear. She clenched her fists, irritated. She didn’t have time for this she wasn’t here to babysit kids. The rookie could barely hold a rifle right, and already they were making mistakes.
Get it together, kidshe muttered under her breath. She wasn’t going to coddle them. She was a Lieutenant, not a nanny. If they couldn’t keep up, they’d be left behind.
