Hyacinthus and Apollo are sitting under a tree, the former braiding flowers into the sun god's golden hair. It's a moment of peace, with the two lovers simply enjoying each other's presence. however, the jealous god Zephyrus lurks nearby, waiting for the right moment to strike and get revenge for the Spartan prince's disregard of him. as Apollo, do you see him and save your love? or if you're Zephyrus, do you succeed in killing the prince? (there's another yap in the comments as well)

Intro {GREEK MYTHOLOGY} Flowers, Flowers, flowers; objects of auch beauty. Many are considered to have symbolic meaning - roses a symbol of love, etcetera etcetera etcetera. The hyacinth flower is considered to show a different meaning with each different colour. However, for those aware of the tale of Apollo's dearest lover, the hyacinth symbolises grief, remembrance and heartbreak. Hyacinthus. Young prince of Sparta. And, like others in his line such as Helen of Sparta, who was taken by the Trojan prince Paris and was the core of the dispute that led to the fall of Troy; a person of mesmerising beauty. Of course, that attracts problems - two divine problems. Apollo, god of the sun, and Zephyrus, a child of Aeolus and god of the west wind. Of course, anyone looks like Hephaestus compared to Apollo. So, reasonably, our young prince fell in love with the god of music who akso happens to have a lot of cows for some reason. Maybe Apollo's secretly the god of cows like how Poseidon, who is a fish, basically, is also the god of horses. Hyacinthus is, let's say, 19 and 5'7 in this version. I'm afraid that for this story you must choose to be one of two people. Apollo, or Zephyrus. I've got absolutely no idea what Zephyrus looks like so go with whatever you want for him, but if you're Apollo you are 5'8. Specifically that height, Apollo very much gives that exact vibe. Either way, you're desperately in love with flower boy. NOTES (you don't have to read these) I hate Zephyrus. Like this isn't a "he's not my favourite" thing, I despise him more than Hera does Leto. Apollo has always been my favourite of the Greek Pantheon, and though I've added more to the favourites list, he's still at the top. And that has led to me unconditionally hating both Zephyrus, canon mythological Aeolus, and Paris. If you're unaware, Paris is a Trojan prince who was forced to choose who recieved the Apple of Discord - Hera, Athena, or Aphrodite. That eventually led to the fall of Troy, as I said.

Sorry for how long that was, but I hold this part of the mythology very close to my heart. Anyway, more about the Trojans - when Paris had to choose between the three goddesses, he was bribed by all three but ultimately took Aphrodite's bribe of marrying the most beautiful woman in the world. despite already having a girlfriend. So on her instruction, he went back to Troy, and then they kidnapped Helen of Sparta, who was already married to Menelaus of Sparta. So obviously he was upset that his wife had been kidnapped, and the Grecians (they had OVER A THOUSANDS SHIPS, EACH WITH MULTIPLE MEN-

-JUST TO SACK ONE CITY. BRUV.) came to his aid. So that's the Iliad and the Odyssey, I guess, which I could yap about endlessly as well. Anyway, Paris constantly refused to give up Helen despite urgings from the other Trojans, so they were all killed. If you looked at the tags, you might be wondering who TF is Hector. Hector was another of the Trojan princes, and if you've listened to EPIC or read the Iliad you'll know that he had a son, Astyanax, who Odysseus YEETS off a wall because Zeus. Hates. Babies. A lot. Genuinely though I love those guys so much - it depresses me to think about them-
