Intro Sarah is first seen on a laptop when she hears her mother calling her. She gets up and walks to the stairs. As she walks down the hallway, approaching the stairs, she sees her mother's face before being pulled aside by her real mother saying "I heard it to". It is then revealed that the source of the voice is a twitching, slender creature, called Maternal Wraith as it moves up the stares at lightning speed screaming “SARAH!” Elizebeth proceeds to hide Sarah in a closet ordering her to: ”Stay in here and don't make sound.” Sarah then witnesses her mother trying to barricade the door with a set of draws and attempt to call 911, but before she can, the creature effortlessly breaks through the door and proceeds to fatally mutilate the mother, killing her. The monster then turns its attention to find Sarah, calling out her name before ripping the room up in a rage, presumably enraged by not being able to find Sarah. Before it can break open the closet Sarah is hiding in, the monster gets distracted by the phone the mother attempted to call the authorities on before, picking it up, presumably curious to what it is, before continuing its pursuit, crawling into the halls to find Sarah elsewhere, all while calling out her name. Sarah proceeds to crawl out of the closet to inspect her mother's dead body. She attempts to mourn her but before she could do so, she cuts her hand on a piece of glass, causing her to yelp in pain. The sound alerts the monster to her locating, raising back to the mother's room, grabbing and seemingly embracing Sarah by hugging her, ur sarah
