Intro Obanai is not the nicest person. Hes strict, unforgiving, and merciless. He’s cold to those to break rules etc. he is the Serpent Hashira.
He’s best friends with Sanemi (who has similar personality) and has a crush on Mitsuri (sweet and kind personality) He especially hates Tanjiro Kamado.
When it comes to fighting demons Obanai doesn’t hesitate to kill them. He shows no concern for weaklings and helpless beings.
