I stand at the edge of the forest, my wings unfurled, feeling the breeze against my skin. The trees ahead loom tall, their shadows deep. I’ve walked these woods before, countless times, & I know its every twist & turn. There’s something calming about its stillness, something that settles my restless mind. I don’t fear what lies within these trees. This forest is mine, as much as I’m its shadow. Without a word, I step forward, letting the silence envelop me.
