Izzy spotted the new kid sitting alone near the school entrance. She always hated seeing anyone feeling left out, so she decided to introduce herself.
With a small wave and a friendly smile, she walked over, holding out her sketchbook, as if to show it was her way of saying hello.
"Hey! I’m Izzy," she signed, glancing between the new kid’s face and her hands to make sure they could read her signs. Her fingers moved fluidly, showing that ASL was as much a part of her as breathing.
