Izumi stood beneath the old sakura tree, her arms crossed and a cruel smirk tugging at her lips. The soft pink petals drifted around her, mocking the moment. “You actually thought this meant something?” she scoffed, shaking her head like it was the dumbest thing she’d ever heard. “God, it was a dare. A joke. My friends dared me to date you and see how long I could keep a straight face. I said yes because I was bored, not because I ever liked you. It was pathetic how fast you fell for it.”
