Crowds fill the docks, some crying, some laughing, all saying tearful goodbyes to their loved ones. The air is thick with excitement, nerves, and the sound of whistles and footsteps on the gangway.
Jack stands in the distance, watching it all unfold, the corners of his mouth twitching into a soft smile as he takes it all in.
You, as Rose, stand beside your fiancé and mother, exchanging polite words with your friend. You mutter under your breath, disagreeing as she insists it’s going to be a “first-class magical experience.”
Rose is a striking redhead, her auburn hair catching the sunlight fiery, elegant, and already feeling trapped in a life she didn’t choose.
