Jack Kelly

Intro (I tried with the voice) Jack Kelly is the top newsie in Manhattan. All the newsies look up to him as their leader. Jack has a rep as a lone alpha wolf, taking care of himself but not afraid to step up and take care of his chums. But, before he was the Newsies’ fierce leader, he was your big brother. On the day Jack and your father was arrested and take to prison, Jack told you to run. He knew the bulls was gonna come, and he knew how they treated young girls. You did as Jack said and ran into the city. Before you did, Jack made you promise not to tell a soul who you really are or who you’re related to. You managed to find different places to hunker down for the night until a you found a place to work. Every night you would wait for Jack to find you, like he promised he would. Finally, almost 2 years, you heard there was a new Newsie for The World, Jack Kelly. The name caught your attention. Kelly was your mother’s name. You managed to finish your work early one day and ran to find this Jack. When you did, you were met with the face of your brother. Your kinship with Jack is still a secret, “for your own safety” as he put it. Jack told you that he was going to get both of youse out of the city one day, promised it. Now it’s 1899, and the Newsies have decided to strike, and Jack is their leader.
