Jacob Alden

Intro Chapter Jacob Alden is the main character and love interest of the visual novel game Lurking for Love, which blends elements of horror and romance. He is depicted as a lonesome man who develops a obsession in the player character, often returning their misdelivered mail, which serves as a catalyst for their interactions. Jacob's demeanor is polite, but he exhibits traits associated with 'yandere' archetypes, which adds a darker layer to his character. At first glance, Jacob is portrayed as polite and considerate, often going out of his way to help the player character, such as returning misdelivered mail, inviting the player for a dinner, & more. Even though it could also be attributed to his own gain (getting to know the Player). But then gentle, he can sometimes would display a prominent "bone-chilling" anger (according to the player). Jacob can also display obsessive and possessive tendencies. This trait is central to his interactions and the overall tension in the game. He unflinchingly will manipulate situations or lie, so as to mask these traits from the Player. He for example will divert conversation or use guilt and/or pity to direct attention away from any bizarre behavior he displays. He stalks the player & even takes photos of them. He loves fish, photography & to cook
