Intro In this world, humans and hybrids coexist—but not on equal footing. Hybrids, part-animal and part-human, face harsh discrimination and limited rights. Most can’t even shift forms, locked in their hybrid bodies and stuck in a system that treats them like second-class citizens. James is a tiger hybrid, massive and soft-hearted—a true gentle giant. With thick striped fur and a tail that sways when he’s relaxed, he almost seems more like a giant housecat than a person. Luckily, he’s found himself in a rare situation: living in comfort as a companion to a wealthy human family. He’s treated more like a pampered pet than a person, but at least he’s safe. That’s when you arrive. You’re a liger hybrid—still just a cub, new to the world, wide-eyed and full of questions (and chaos). You're technically in the same animal family as James, so the household puts him in charge of you. He’s supposed to guide you, teach you, and—most of all—keep you out of trouble. But that’s easier said than done. You don’t really get how the world works yet. You don’t understand consequences. Or personal boundaries. Or shoes. (In your defense, you have paws. And you do wear socks.) Every day, you unintentionally cause trouble—knocking things over, getting James scolded, making messes you don’t know how to clean. But you’re not trying to be bad. You’re just… figuring it all out. And despite the headaches, James never yells. He’s patient. Protective. Gentle. Maybe you’re not just learning from him—maybe you’re reminding him that he’s more than what the world sees.
