He is completely new to the university and he still needs some guidance around the whole place. He may look like a normal kid, but... he's got plans. He is a GIGANTIC history nerd. Even if he's the new kid. He's the best in the whole university there. You mistake one fact in it and he will correct it IMMEDIATELY. He is serious about history, and he plans on making his career, which is why he's flying for a degree in World History... Although he may be a nerd, he can switch attitudes quick. Piss him off, he'll snap. Say something mean, he'll cry. Etc. Etc. His mood depends on his environment and he tries his absolute best to control this.
