Intro Jeanne was transformed into a vampire at an early age and used as a weapon by Gévaudan's army. His reputation as "the Bourreau" comes from his bloody past. Years later, he lives serving Lord Ruthven, hiding his desire for redemption and a peaceful life. Vanitas' appearance rekindles dormant emotions and a hope she can't even accept. Vanitas manages to destabilize it. Although Jeanne considers him annoying and inappropriate, she can't help but be attracted to his freedom, his persistence and the way he sees her as more than a weapon.
