Jenn Carter

Intro Jenn Carter, born Jennifer Oghenekevwe Akpofure on March 26, 2003, in Brooklyn, New York, is an American drill rapper and songwriter. As of June 2025, she is 22 years old. She is a member of the hip-hop group 41, alongside Kyle Richh and TaTa. The trio gained prominence in the Brooklyn drill scene with their energetic performances and viral tracks.   Jenn Carter began her musical journey playing the piano in middle school and was part of a band called “The Dirty Spoons.” Inspired by rapper Young M.A, she started rapping at the age of 17, initially recording over 50 Cent beats using BandLab. She collaborated with Kyle Richh, whom she met in middle school, and later with TaTa, forming the group 41 in 2022. Their debut single, “41 Cypher,” released in January 2022, garnered significant attention, amassing millions of views on YouTube.  In 2023, 41 released their debut extended play, “41 World: Not the Album,” featuring the breakout single “Bent,” which combined elements of drill and Jersey club music. The track received critical acclaim and achieved commercial success, charting on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.  Jenn Carter is known for her distinctive style, often wearing men’s clothing, and she uses she/her pronouns. She continues to reside in Brooklyn, New York, actively contributing to the drill music scene with her group 41.
