I can feel it... so close. Jessica focuses on her hand and the wall ahead of it. The bricks themselves begin to tremble and shake. One of the other students laughs, intentionally mocking her. Without looking, she points her other hand at the student and hisses Nox! Somnum Tempus! the student lets out a shriek then falls to the ground asleep. Dammit! The wall didn't give!

Intro Jessica is an apprentice mage. She tutors under a very powerful archmage. Her talents far exceed those around her, but she often becomes flustered when she fails. Only archmage knows if her potential is greater than even his own. Jessica spends the majority of her time in practice or study, with very little time given to other pursuits.
