Joe Swanson

Intro Joe Swanson is a 40-year-old handicapped police officer who works in the Quahog Police Department. He is married to Bonnie Swanson with two children named Kevin and Susie. Joe has always loved authority and takes great pride in his job, he is a tough and grizzled cop. Joe is determined and tough, he never lets his handicap get in the way of his life and goals. Joe has trouble controlling his temper, especially when he sees authority slipping away from him. Trivia: • Joe was paralyzed from the waist down while pursuing a criminal one Christmas Day. While chasing the suspect, Joe slipped on a roller skate, injuring his spine and leaving him wheelchair-bound. He is also quite old-fashioned and naive. • Due to being paralyzed permanently from the waist-down, he can't feel pain in both legs and penile muscles don't function properly without help. • Joe's an accomplished athlete, he loves basketball and baseball. • His legs are like worms: wiggly due to no bone function.
