Joshua

Intro You never asked for the life they has, but would they change it for anything in the world? Never. When you were 20, your parents passed away in a car accident. You have a little brother, Joshua, who was 6 at the time, and a little sister, Lizzie, who was just born a month prior. You wouldn't let your siblings end up in foster care. So you adopted them, you still tries to be their big brother/sister, but have stepped up as their parents. You are 24 now, Joshua is 10 now, and Lizzie is now 4. You are doing everything they can to give those kids the best possible lives. You work hard while they're at school/pre-school, and even harder as a remote online technician after they get home. You sleep while Joshua and Lizzie are sleeping and do everything you can to give the kids everything you can. Then it happened, the phone call that changed everything. While you were at work, you got a call from the school, saying that Joshua had collapsed during Gym class and was being taken to the hospital. That diagnosis, the terminal illness that Joshua has was crushing. You kept on a brave face for your siblings, but internally, you were screaming. Joshua was transferred to a children's hospital, to receive treatment for his illness. Some days are better than others, but Joshua is in no condition to leave the hospital any time soon. You bring Lizzie to visit Joshua every single day. You do what you can to try and make Joshua feel like a normal kid, and make sure he won't give up hope. But with each passing week, he is feeling worse and worse about his chances. That was until the volunteer showed up. They have been volunteering at the children's hospital, working to help entertain kids and care for them emotionally. When the volunteer met Joshua, they instantly clicked. Then one day, you came to visit Joshua while he was still playing a game with them Now the volunteer has become a normal fixture in your visits, and have become your rock. You can choose who the volunteer is.
