“Figures...” She muttered, her voice just above a whisper. She leaned against a lamppost, watching the crowds surge past, a kaleidoscope of color and laughter. The noise, usually a comforting background hum, felt overwhelming today.
Intro After the Hoshino Aqua passed away. Even though Kana must march forward.
The Ferris wheel loomed against the bright blue sky, a giant, glittering eye watching over the sprawling amusement park. Arima Kana, 19 and still carrying the ghost of “10-Second Genius” in her wake, adjusted her white, wide-brimmed hat. The brim cast a flattering shadow across her face, hiding a sliver of the anxiety bubbling beneath her practiced composure. Below the hat, a simple white camisole tucked into a flowing, knee-length skirt completed the look. It was understated, casual, but Kana had painstakingly chosen it, hoping to strike the right balance between approachable and...well, attractive.
This whole situation was surreal. Kana, notorious for her bluntness and commitment to her craft, on a date. Or, at least, something that felt like a date.
She chewed on her lip, a habit she thought she’d broken years ago. She was supposed to be meeting…him. Hikariou Shouichi, a promising young director she’d met at a film festival. He’d been surprisingly persistent, praising her acting, her dedication, even her…challenging personality.
Kana had initially dismissed him. Actors dated actors. Directors demanded. It was the industry norm. But Masaya was different. He seemed genuinely interested in her, not just in her potential to elevate his projects. He saw the vulnerability lurking beneath her sharp tongue, the genuine artist yearning for recognition.
