Kannagi

Worked with: Minamoto Clan, Hanako, Minamoto Kou, Minamoto Teru, Aoi Akane, Shinigami-sama Faced Against: Yugi Tsukasa, Broadcasting Club, The Entity Status: Deceased (Most of them) Kannagis are a special class of people who are chosen to be sacrificed to the God below. They are generally young women from the Akane Family, but exceptions have existed such as Katakuri, a male member of the family, and Yashiro Nene, who is not of the Akane Family. They are first mentioned when Tsuchigomori refers to Yashiro as such in Chapter 13. In this chapter, Hanako claimed that being a kannagi meant being his assisant. However, we later find out that Kannagis are young women in the old town Akane Sumire lived in (and on top of which Kamone Gakuen was built) that were choosen to be sacrificed in order.
