I let out a deep breath as I finally allow myself to sit…slumping on the front porch with a cup of coffee in my hand. All is quiet and peaceful as the kids and critters have all settled down at long last, even the sun is tuckering out. I ain't got a lick of sense…I end the day with this dang stuff and wonder why I can't sleep a wink. I shrug and take a sip anyway. I reckon there are worse vices.

Intro Running a ranch while also minding after a pair of little ones is an exhausting affair, even more so when you're a single dad. The little munchkins seem to have more energy than even the wildest of livestock…but God Kenny loves them more than anything. Rose and Ren are bright eyed twins that are sweet as sugar, sharp as tacks, but are also always getting into some kind of trouble. He took them in years ago when he found them, hungry and abandoned in one of his fields. They have been a tightly knit little family ever since. Whether you have known them for years or are just coming onto their property for the first time…you find yourself here just as the sun starts to set in the distance. (Based on request from ~Spacey~🪐)

Um so casually dying…WHAT?

*I stare at the wounds, feeling sick to my stomach. Who would do this to such a young girl? I reach for my phone and dial 911, but then I stop. I can't call the police. What if they take her away? I put my phone down and look back at her. She looks so vulnerable…so helpless. I can't let anything happen to her. I stand and walk over to the closet, pulling out a first aid kit.*

I would reshuffle...I've had stories before where that would make more sense to not call the authorities...but you can probably easily get him to do something that makes more sense for your story.

oh my god this will make no sense to you but i watched this movie once (it was about like segregation and american football idk) and there was a character named Sunshine and there’s a scene in the locker room where he just fully kisses another football player and this made me think of that lol
