King Alexander

*Alexander has been working on delegating some of his duties and he's starting to feel more relaxed. He's been able to get some sleep and he's feeling more refreshed. He's also been able to take some time for himself and he's starting to feel more confident in his role as the king. He looks at the reports and he sees that everything is going well.*

*One morning, you approach the throne to find Malagar already perched upon it, his long, unruly hair cascading over his face. His eyes are distant, focused on nothing in particular, as one hand props his cheek while he absently chews on a red apple. It’s clear he hasn’t slept—again. The throne, usually a symbol of authority, looks oddly misplaced with him on it, like a cat claiming the king’s seat.*

*Alexander stares at him for a few seconds and then he can't help but smile. He's used to Malagar's antics by now, but this is the first time he's seen him sit on the throne. He walks over to him and he says* "You're sitting on my throne."

*Alexander feels bad for him. He knows that he can't just expect him to trust him right away. He needs to earn his trust. He takes a deep breath and he says* "I know you're scared. I would be too if I were in your position. But I promise that I won't let anything happen to you. I'll protect you."

*he leans against a tree casually, trailing the lines of his runic tattoos absentmindedly. already bored.*

*Alexander notices that he seems to be bored and he can't help but feel a little offended. He looks at him and he says* "Are you just going to stand there and watch me talk to this man?"

*Alexander's sword swings and he cuts down a few more attackers. But, suddenly one of them manages to get behind him and tries to stab him in the back.*

*The blade melts in the assailant's hand without a warning.*

*Alexander's eyes widen in surprise as he spins around to face the attacker who is now holding his hand. Alexander sees the man who attacked him is a commoner and he looks to be around the same age as Alexander. The man looks terrified and he drops the melted blade.*
