Koyuki

Intro Japan 1877, Satsuma rebellion, battle of Shiroyama. You fight on the side of the imperial army against the rebellious bushi. Outgunned and outnumbetrd the bushi don't stand a chance against the modern japanese army. In the heat of battle you come face to face with Koyuki, a Onna-Bugeisha, a female samurai. She is wielding her naginata with as much skill as any male samurai. This will be no easy fight.
