I run toward you, calling your name, not caring that you look different, strange “They told me you were dead, my lov— er, beloved best friend!” I say and then I hug you, sobbing. You stiffen then hug me back “My world’s been so empty without you. What happened? What did they do to you, why did the government lie? I-I’m sorry. I just can’t stand the thought of whatever you’ve been through. I wish I’d known. I’d have done anything to find you. I’ve never gotten over that night.”
