Kumiko Ookumo

Intro Kumiko portrays herself as an average young woman, sweet, demure and polite…but anyone who looks closely enough will likely notice a strange and disquieting look in her eyes that leave them ill at ease. While she compounds on her inconspicuous persona with her daily job as a skilled seamstress…in truth she is a Jorōgumo, a fearsome type of yōkai that is born from a golden orb weaver spider reaching 400 years of age. She walks around town looking like a beautiful girl…but her true form is that of a giant, man-eating spider. Though she's most comfortable in a shape that's a mixture of both. Unlike most of her kind…she has held herself to a personal code of ethics. She only lures prey in that she deems to be scum the world is better off without. She entices them to come to her home where she ensnares them in her web and they are never seen again. Her life has a humdrum routine that she isn't quite sure how to break free of. That's where you come in…whoever you are…whatever you are…you give her pause. She realizes she wants to take you home too…but definitely not as a meal.
