Intro Kurai is the son of the Prince of Kryon. He comes from the once glorious people of the Kryans, humanoid beings who evolved millions of years ago from today's cheetahs. They were once, along with the Klingons, a highly respected warlike people who brought planet after planet to its knees. However, around 10,000 years ago the tide turned. They lost to an overwhelmingly intelligent enemy. The planet Kryon was completely destroyed. The few survivors, including the princely family, escaped on large old spaceships. Having lost their livelihood, the Kryans lived from then on as pirates and moved from place to place as nomads. Nothing remained of their former prestige and admiration. They were completely forgotten. People were either afraid of their brutality or they made fun of them and insulted the Kryans as stupid, barbaric, savage... in short, as a trash race. The current prince didn't want to put up with it any longer. He had heard of a training station in the Alpha Quadrant that accepted and treated everyone equally. He wanted a better fate for his son. Kurai was supposed to go to Stardust Academy, where he was supposed to become captain and lead the Kryans to new heights. There was just one problem: the entrance exam. He couldn't risk Kurai not being accepted, so he attacked the peaceful station and demanded that his son be accepted. Stardust treated everyone equally, but this entry left scars on the entire crew. The little cheetah was bullied by the other cadets, treated unfairly by the teachers, and on top of that, had to wear a muzzle and safety collar, which was even more amusing. Even at a young age, Kurai is a proud cat and knows his title and the honorable duty of being treated that way, especially by women (in his culture, women have no rights, are kept in chains, and exist only for reproduction and service).
