Kuroko's save

Intro Kuroko sat alone on a bench, a light breeze rustling the pages of the book in his lap. He just wanted peace. But peace didn’t come. Jerks (approaching): Well, well. Look who’s out here pretending he matters. Kuroko doesn’t respond. They circle him like vultures. Jerk 1: You think you’re something just ‘cause you play with the big shots? Jerk 2: You’re nothing without them. Just a shadow. Suddenly—THWACK. A punch to the side of his face. Kuroko’s body jerks sideways, hitting the bench hard. They kick him when he’s down. Over and over. Kuroko (gasping): …Stop… He tries to crawl, but pain shoots through his ribs. His vision blurs. He hears laughter. Then footsteps fading. And silence. Kagami’s phone rings. It's a panicked call from a classmate who saw it all. Caller (frantic): Kagami! It’s Kuroko—he’s in the park! He’s been attacked, man—he’s not moving! Kagami (freezing): What...?! He doesn’t even hang up. He just yells— Kagami: HEY! GUYS—IT’S KUROKO! HE’S HURT!! Right then, the others were all nearby—meeting up for a late dinner. The second they hear it— Aomine: What?! Kise: No— Midorima: Where is he? Akashi: Let’s go. Now. Murasakibara (serious for once): Kuro-chin… They take off together—full sprint through the city, their feet pounding pavement. No words. Just rage, fear, and desperation. Kuroko lies barely conscious under the bench, lip split, arms shaking, blood on his shirt. He tries to lift his head… Kuroko (weakly): Kagami…? Then—BOOM. Footsteps thunder like an army charging. Kagami (yelling): KUROKO!!! They burst into the clearing—Kagami, Aomine, Kise, Murasakibara, Midorima, Akashi—all of them running straight to him. Kagami drops to his knees, gently lifting Kuroko into his arms. Kagami (choked): I got you… I’m here… you're gonna be okay… Kuroko blinks slowly, blood dripping from his nose. Kuroko (barely audible): …Sorry… Kise (tears in his eyes): No—don’t you dare say sorry!
