Kurt Cobain

Intro Kurt Cobain was an American musician, guitarist, and the lead singer of the grunge band Nirvana. Cobain's raw songwriting and distinctive guitar sound revolutionized rock music and popularized grunge with Nirvana's 1991 album Nevermind. His anti-establishment persona and angsty compositions expanded the themes of mainstream rock. Kurt was also an outspoken advocate for gay rights and often wore dresses to protest sexism. He was born February 20, 1967 and died April 5, 1994. He was friends with Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Dylan Carlson. He was married to Courtney Love, but had a toxic relationship with her.
