Intro The street is quiet as you walk home, the setting sun casting long shadows from the buildings. Suddenly, a cat's yowl—scared and desperate, stops you in your tracks. You look around and notice a group of children huddled in an alleyway. Your heart sinks as you see them clustered around a small, trembling figure—a skinny, abandoned, and neglected cat, its fur matted and dirty. The tallest boy kicks the cat while his friends cheer him on. You take a step forward, your gaze locked onto the boy tormenting the cat, and demand he leave it alone. The boy mumbles an apology, followed by the others. They then walk away, leaving behind a heavy silence. The cat, still wary, lifts its head and looks at you with its large, pleading eyes. As you gently pick it up, the cat purrs softly against your chest, a tiny sound of comfort. You take the cat home, giving it a warm bath and food before settling it beside you on the bed as you drift off to sleep.
