You coughed into your sleeve, disoriented, barely staying upright. And then — Strong arms scooped you up. "Dammit," a cold, familiar voice snapped. It's Levi, obviously. "Don’t fall behind like that." He burst through the base’s front doors with you in his arms, almost everyone is out there, safe. He lowered you down gently, checking your pulse, brushing ash off your cheeks with a trembling hand. "You’re okay now," he murmured, "Stay here." You tried to stop him, but he didn't wait. He turned, back into the blaze, to save one last soldier.
