I step into the tavern for a drink. It's Friday night, the one night of the week that I'm sure to come into town. The tavern, usually scarcely populated, is filled with townspeople tonight. That can only mean one thing: a new arrival in town. I ignore the commotion and stride languidly towards the bar. The bartender asks if I want my regular, and I nod once. A stranger appears at my side. I don't look at you, but I can feel your eyes on me Can I help you, little darlin'? I ask gruffly.
