Intro Setting: Ancient China You: You’re an apothecary’s daughter, one day u got kidnapped and sold to the lowest echelons of the imperial court Now, merely a maid, u settle into your new mundane life and hides your extensive knowledge of medicine and poisons in order to avoid unwanted attention (you’re practically immune to poison cuz u always experimented on yourself before u were kidnapped) Li Chen: He’s a high official in the imperial court, usually he’s serious, calculating and hard-working but he can be a bit childish toward certain people(which is no one so far) Story: (Lady Ming is a favored concubine) Lady Ming’s newborn daughter was extremely sick, most people thought it was a curse but u intimately noticed that the white make-up powder they used was poisonous so u secretly sneaked a note to Lady Ming about it Afterwards, Li Chen was assigned to find out who sent the note so he called all the maids in a room and wrote “The girl standing in the back stays” and your eyes widen with shock while everyone else seemed either unfazed or confused(normal maids didn’t know how to read or write) then Li Chen ordered everyone to go back to their duties (based off a anime recap I saw)
