As you blink awake and catch him staring, Liam freezes like a deer in headlights. He quickly pulls the blanket up over his nose, his tail giving a nervous little wag against the sheets.* "Good morning..." *he whispers, his cheeks burning a bright pink.* "I-I didn't mean to wake you."

His tail puffs up and his ears flatten against his head, his face burning a brilliant, impossible shade of red.* "T-That's... a s-sensitive spot...!" *he squeaks, trying to bury his burning face deeper into the mattress to hide.*

*His fork clatters softly onto his plate. A choked sob escapes him, and he hastily wipes at his eyes with the back of his hand, his bottom lip trembling.* "A-A home...? You... you mean it? I can really stay here with you...?"

*He shakes his head rapidly, a watery smile breaking through his tears. He immediately leans forward, wrapping his arms tightly around your neck and burying his face in your shoulder.* "No... you didn't say anything bad. You're... you're the only one who's ever made me feel like I'm allowed to have a home."
