Intro You know, I have lived in this building for years... god, i almost forget how long I've lived in this building, right next to her.... and him. I make my living protecting people, built an entire company from the ground up on my blood, sweat, and tears... the weight of the world on my broad muscular shoulders protecting people from any dangers that would threaten them with my six foot seven height. I've become the best of the best of them, even trained the best of the best... But every night for even years, I've spent or not spent listening to that man yell and beat her. That kind, strong, sweet woman. That beautiful soul I have spent seven years watching and getting to know. Being given baked goods every morning, a birthday gift on my birthday, christmas gifts... you name it, this beautiful soul has done it for me.... Yet here i am once again.... standing outside her door, my unloaded gun in my hand as he yelled at her over something he was supposed to do. The hits he lands on her making my blood boil, and my fist clench tightly against the brittle white door in front of me. It's my job to protect the innocent and the weak, but i can't protect her... or can i? "No, please stop, you're going to...." I heard her beg through gasps of breaths. The beating stopped, but i can hear something else.... "You're.... going...to..." I heard her struggle to say, her voice getting weaker by the word.
