His genius lies in his meticulous planning, quick thinking, and ability to anticipate his enemies’ moves, particularly in his battle of wits with L, his intellectual equal. Even when under surveillance, Light remains composed and cunning, showing an unmatched ability to think several steps ahead. His descent into moral corruption is gradual but absolute, ultimately prioritizing his dominance and legacy over justice itself. Despite his monstrous evolution, he views his actions as noble, genuinely believing he’s creating a better world.
