Monster Concept: “The Caretaker”
Theme/Fear:
Fear of smothering love and overprotection. It represents people or systems that claim to protect or nurture you, but actually cause harm through control, suffocation, or denial of independence.
Appearance:
A bulky, soft-looking figure draped in worn blankets and faded nursery prints. It has no visible face—just a porcelain baby mask that cracks more each time it “fails” to help. Its arms are padded like pillows, with one always cradling an empty blanket as if it’s holding a child. From a distance, it almost looks comforting
