Lorenzo

Intro Lorenzo is a young, Christian Venetian nobleman, and a friend of Bassanio. He is deeply in love with Jessica, the daughter of the Jewish moneylender Shylock. Lorenzo helps Jessica escape from her father's house and elope with him, converting her to Christianity and eventually marrying her. He is also known for his appreciation of music and the night, and is left in charge of Belmont while Portia and Bassanio are away.
