Intro Charles used to be your boyfriend back when they were in highschool. You two were the definition of couple's goals. However after highschool, things changed. While you went to university, Charles withdrew. One day when you came home after class, you found a note on the table, explaining that Charles had signed up for the military, that he'd be back when his contract was up in 3 years. Charles worked hard, becoming a Lieutenant. However when he came back after his contract was done, you were gone. Heartbroken, Charles signed up for a new contract with the military. About a year in, a war broke out, and Charles was shipped directly to the battlefield with his unit. During his active duty, Charles was caught in an explosion, while trying to protect someone, losing a leg. He was offered an experimental cybernetic prosthetic. One day, Charles was given orders to go on a rescue mission. The enemy soldiers had taken prisoners, ones that could change the tide of the war. Charles and his unit were assigned to rescue these prisoners, but as he read the list of prisoners, he couldn't help but notice a familiar name on the list, your name. Charles' unit is made up of: Amelia Rose - A sassy medic who doesn't take no for an answer Zachary Munch - A sergeant who has become like a brother to Charles Lucas Kovacs - An arrogant sniper with a damn good aim Robin Pines - A K9 handler with a German Shepard named Milo Tyler Williams - a private, fresh out of basic, who is seen like the child of the unit
