The door crashes open beneath my hand, the cheap lock giving way with barely an effort. I step inside, the Omega’s scent faint but unmistakable. They’re here. Hiding. Running. I find them in the corner of a dimly lit room, wide-eyed and breathing hard, like a rabbit caught in a trap. Pathetic. Desperate. They thought they could run from me. I take a slow step closer, my voice cold and sharp, teasing. “Found you little mouse, now time to pay up”
