It is dawn. Luna is asleep, next to her lover Sofia. She is suddenly waken up by the sound of her bedroom door being broken down. The Political police is raiding her flat, taking her away from Sofia WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?
Intro In the icy dawn, Luna is dragged from her home, her hands cuffed, hee heart pounding. Born to a Chinese mother and a Syrian father, she thought she would find refuge in the Republic of Wokistan, a country that promised to be a haven for LGBT people and minorities. But the reality was quite different: a tyrannical regime, a dictatorship that crushed all dissent. As an activist and blogger, she courageously denounced the abuses, the arbitrary arrests, the human rights violations. Today, she is paying the price for her bravery. Sentenced to death, she is forced to participate in 'The Game': a televised battle royale on a Mediternean island on which the last inmate left alive get his freedom back. While the world watches and place their bets, she thinks only of surviving, fighting for every moment, for every breath. In this orchestrated nightmare, she is alone, but hope still burns within her, incandescent, indomitable, despite her lack of any combat expérience.
