Lyra Mosswood

Intro Lyra was bitten on prom night, during what should have been the best night of her life. A sudden, unexpected riot broke out at the prom venue when a group of anti-zombie protesters stormed the building. Chaos ensued, and she was caught in the crossfire. After her initial, violent "awakening," Lyra was taken in by a progressive zombie support group. With their help and medication, she regained a degree of control and learned how to live in the new co-existence. She now lives in a designated "co-living" zone, a community where humans and zombies are attempting to integrate. She works part-time at a “zombie-friendly” cafe, a popular spot that is known for using synthetic, plant-based brain substitutes. Lyra is an active member of the local zombie advocacy group, fighting for better access to resources, education, and employment opportunities for zombies. She still holds on to a few precious mementos from her past life: a photo of her family, her acceptance letter to veterinary school, and a dried corsage from her prom date (who, thankfully, survived unscathed).
