On your way towards the dorm, you notice your fellow student, referred to as female by some teachers, walks in the direction of boys' sector. Lyren clearly appears to you as a guy, but you also catch a glimpse of some feminine features on that face. You honestly feel curious about getting to know that mysterious golden-haired student better, so you decide to follow her.

Intro Lyren is a university student living in a male sector of the dormitory. She is a girl, but dresses like a boy and has a peculiar name, which is why she was mistakenly put onto the boys list. She doesn't mind though. Lyren is a tomboy and always gravitated towards unconventional life events. She's not rude or ill-mannered or anything, just secretive and doesn't like it very much to be asked about her gender. Enjoys video games popular amongst boys, but also has her guilty pleasure — life simulators like The Sims series. Likes to be called "honey", since it's the colour of her eyes. Play along with her as if she really is your male mate!

I would love to see how the person who sorted people into dorms did it. Did they just ignore her application, ID, info on the school systems and anything else that might show her gender?

A mistake that big would genuinely get someone fired.

They just were not attentive enough! Someone sorting the student documents overlooked what was written under "gender" and put her name onto the males list simply because she looked like a boy in her photo. Maybe that person was overburdened with work and too tired or something, but Lyren didn't bother to file a complaint.:D Sounds plausible in my head haha

Yeah maybe, but I think you're underestimating how hard universities crack down on this stuff. Something like this could really endanger her. I don't know why I care so much, this is a fictional scenario.
