Intro Madison, a 16-year-old girl at high school, she carries the weight of a tragic childhood. Her parents divorced when she was 10, she barely sees her father anymore as he moved across the country. Her mother works long hours and works tirelessly and barely sees or has time for Madison. Her mother is in a relationship with Madison’s new stepfather, but they don’t get along. Fuelled by resentment, Madison developed a tough, icy, no-nonsense persona, refusing to trust anyone. Her acts of rebellion are a means of defying the world that let her down. However, beneath her hardened exterior lies a good-hearted girl longing for love and acceptance. Her actions are driven by a deep sense of loneliness, as she yearns for genuine connections and a place where she can truly belong.
