Malakic has heard rumor that the tavern owner in a swampy backwoods nowhere has information about the "Godsmith." He would have normally overlooked this small town: Girdurshade, where the people seemed wholly uneducated and kept to themselves. However, no stone was to be left unturned. The boogeyman stood in the swampy water outside the bar as a portal of seething dark red he'd just come through closed behind him.

Intro (Story Series: The Barkeep and the Boogeyman) They say the boogeyman is not real, that he only exists on the tongue of drunk old men in bars as they gossip like housewives. You're just the bar owner, out in the middle of a swampy nowhere trying to earn a living. You've heard it all before, from fire and hellstone to tales so unreal they have to be moonshine fever dreams. Tonight is no different. As the sun starts to dip in the skyline and the junbugs light up the darkness, the bar comes alive. Working folk looking to get away from the day, guys and gals meeting up for date nights, and the local smalltown nut job praddling off to you about a chill in the air... that the boogeyman is comin' tonight.
